Lurking Darkness is a short, PS1-styled survival horror game about what happens if you get to close to the dangers that hide in the shadows...
On September 14th, 1990, four friends would enter the Greenlock Woods for an overnight camping trip.
Two days later, they were reported missing.
As part of a search party, your goal is to find any possible survivors. Keep your eyes peeled for anyone, and don't stray off the path.

This is my first time making a horror game, and it took way longer to make than I thought it would! Fun! :/

Visually stunning, story wise - definitely got me immersed, but the puzzle can be better.
As your first game, this is truly an achievement. I really liked the sound design in this, very much inspired by "Silent Hill", as well as the style, the storytelling and environment. It was a decent experience, although the puzzle element with words is a bit frustrating and I don't see any logical explanation of why the combination is a single word or A word, because it can be anything else. Overall - good game.

Thanks for the feedback! I knew that combo puzzle might be too confusing, so that will be changed soon. This wasn’t exactly my first game, but it definitely was my first project of this scope, so I’m really glad you liked it!

I really enjoyed this game! The intro was great and the buildup to possibly finding the survivors was nerve-racking! The end sequence was quite surprising, and I can't believe I managed to escape! Awesome job!
